Meet this handsome little guy, Travis. At first he wasn’t too excited about the shoot (or maybe he was over-excited, sometimes it’s hard to tell), but after about 4 feedings, he took a nice long 2-hour nap for the rest of the session and he let us put him in whatever pose we wanted. How content does he look sleeping on mom and dad?
I had a big smile on my face the entire time I was processing this set because each photo was better than the last (mostly because of Travis, not me). Here are a few of my favorites.
These two were so much fun to shoot with! Or maybe 2.5? 2.8? Never mind… I digress. They were naturals in front of the camera and it shows in the photos. Carolyn and Levi choose to do their maternity photos at Prophecy Creek Park, one of my favorite locations. I could probably shoot there for a full day and still not get bored of it. I love the way this set came out. I can’t wait to meet the baby!
Blog readers, meet Ben. A perfect little baby, in a perfect little house, with a perfect little family. I really enjoyed this session! It went about as well as a newborn session could possibly go. Ben slept the entire session, regardless of where we moved him or what position we placed him in. The house was only a few months old, was perfectly decorated, and had tons of natural light in almost every room. I love the way the photos came out, hopefully you agree.
Sometimes you have a session where everything comes together perfectly…. this was one of those times. The location was perfect, the weather was great, the leaves all just turned, and most importantly, this family is awesome! I love the way the photos came out for this session.
Meet Anna, Marc and Dolce (the doggy). This turned out to be one of my favorite maternity sessions. Besides it being about a million degrees out, the session went really well. I love shooting at Harriet Wetherill Park in Plymouth Meeting. There are so many scenic spots to explore. Anna and Marc were super fun to shoot with. Anna told me before the session that they had no idea how to pose, but then the second I picked the camera up they were already in the perfect pose without me having to say a word. I think they've both modeled before and were playing coy. Also, how cute is this Dolce? I love when clients ask to incorporate their dogs into a session. Anyway, check out the photos.
Regular readers of my blog (all 3 of you, hi mom) might recognize Nolan from his newborn session. While he was really cute as a newborn, he only got better with age (at the ripe old age of 1). For this session we explored Hayley, David, and Nolan's new neighborhood, Fishtown in Philadelphia. I love sessions where we don't have much of a plan other than walk around and find some cool spots... and we certainly did. My favorite were the colorful angel wings. Also, how infectious are little kid smiles?
