Julie is a good friend of mine and I always jump at the opportunity to photograph her family because her kids are awesome! They listen to everything I tell them and they're super photogenic. Find a bad photo here of them, I dare you!
It's been a while! I've been neglecting my website for a bit and concentrating on photography and my family. Now it's time to get back on the horse and get some content up on the site!
I had the chance to photography this cute newborn! He was awake and alert the entire session and he was making the funniest facial expressions I've ever seen. I love it when a newborn's personality comes through in the photos! Also, how cool are these dogs, Bacon and Ham?
Sometimes during a session, I can tell the clients are getting tired of taking photos (or maybe tired of my bad jokes) and want to wrap it up. Kamila and Mike were the opposite of that. They were super adventurous, easy-going, and up for whatever. We shot to the last possible minute.... literally. The staff ushered us out at closing with us begging to take one last photo with the sunset.
It’s a lot of fun to shoot sessions like this because we can take our time, get creative, and make some great photos. I really enjoy the way these photos came out. It was hard to pick my favorites to post on here.
On the morning of this session, the forecast called for a 30% chance of rain most of the afternoon. Liron and I spoke and she decided that they wanted to get the shoot done and we could take those odds. We figured worst case, we'd get a little bit of rain on and off. Well, it turns out that we completely underestimated the weather. It POURED the entire shoot. Luckily, Liron and Shreyas had a great attitude about it. We made the best of the circumstances and bounced around from covered spot to covered spot. This was a pretty challenging session for me, but it was actually a lot of fun. It forced me to step out of my box and think creatively. In the end, I think we got some great shots out of it (mostly because Liron and Shreyas were awesome). The umbrella shot in the rain was a nice little reward at the end. Also, how awesome is their dog, Jemma?
Calvin might be the greatest dog in the world, but Elizabeth & Jesse were pretty awesome too. I had a lot of fun exploring Andorra Meadow in Wissihickon Valley Park with these three. I didn’t stop laughing the entire time. Elizabeth was a total trooper for hiking through tall grass fields while 8 months pregnant. Usually, a large part of my job on any shoot is to help the couple pose. For these guys, all I had to do was point in a place I wanted them and they would set themselves up in the perfect pose. I really like how these photos came out.
