Valley Forge Family Session

Valley Forge Family Session

Meet the Ray family.  They are awesome!  They (now) have a 1-year-old daughter named Virginia who is super cute.  I shot newborn photos of her when she was about 2 weeks old.  This was one of the easier sessions I've shot in a while because they were all so easy to work with... even Virginia.  I love sessions like this because we end up with tons of great photos.  See for yourself.

Kamila and Mike Engagement Photos

Kamila and Mike Engagement Photos

Sometimes during a session, I can tell the clients are getting tired of taking photos (or maybe tired of my bad jokes) and want to wrap it up.  Kamila and Mike were the opposite of that.  They were super adventurous, easy-going, and up for whatever.  We shot to the last possible minute.... literally.  The staff ushered us out at closing with us begging to take one last photo with the sunset.

It’s a lot of fun to shoot sessions like this because we can take our time, get creative, and make some great photos.  I really enjoy the way these photos came out.  It was hard to pick my favorites to post on here.

A Very Wet Engagement

A Very Wet Engagement

On the morning of this session, the forecast called for a 30% chance of rain most of the afternoon.  Liron and I spoke and she decided that they wanted to get the shoot done and we could take those odds.  We figured worst case, we'd get a little bit of rain on and off.  Well, it turns out that we completely underestimated the weather.  It POURED the entire shoot.  Luckily, Liron and Shreyas had a great attitude about it.  We made the best of the circumstances and bounced around from covered spot to covered spot.  This was a pretty challenging session for me, but it was actually a lot of fun.  It forced me to step out of my box and think creatively.   In the end, I think we got some great shots out of it (mostly because Liron and Shreyas were awesome).   The umbrella shot in the rain was a nice little reward at the end.  Also, how awesome is their dog, Jemma?

Spring Sessions

Spring Sessions

I've been so busy shooting this season that I've been completely neglecting the website (sorry).  So, to catch you up... I've been all over the Philadelphia area shooting families, newborns, engagements, maternity sessions, and even a few parties.  I've met lots of great new clients, caught up with a few old ones, and even got to shoot some pictures of my beautiful niece.  Here are a few of my favorites from the spring sessions.

A Very Conshy Engagement Session

A Very Conshy Engagement Session

I've been friends with Annika for a while so I was super excited when she asked me to take engagement photos of her and Mark.  Shooting with friends is always a ton of fun because I get to relax and try some stuff I wouldn't normally try.  Plus, it helps when the couple is fun and up for whatever!  We decided on a very Conshy theme for the photos.   First stop was the Conshohocken Brewing Company which was perfect because we all got to start the session with a decent beer.  From there, we hopped around to a few scenic Conshohocken spots and had a cameo appearance from Lilly and Teddy.  We even took one pic in the middle of Fayette Street and lived to show it!

These 6 (including the dog, Charlotte) were a lot of fun to shoot with.  They were definitely the most relaxed parents of twins that I've come across.  Besides a little incident while shooting without diapers, the session went pretty smooth.  The bedroom light was just magical and created some awesome images.  Take a look for yourself.

Andrew, Shani, and Luna

Andrew, Shani, and Luna

I was ecstatic when Andrew (my brother) and his wife Shani asked me to take maternity photos of them. We planned a fall session at Harriet Wetherill Park, which turned out to be a gorgeous day. As if having a baby in the near future wasn't enough, Andrew and Shani showed up to the shoot with a surprise... a puppy named Luna that they adopted the day beforehand. She had a cameo in a few of the photos.

Kristen, Mike, and Layla

Kristen, Mike, and Layla

Check out adorable little Layla! Mike and Kristen are right in the middle of completely renovating their house. Since it's November, and a little too cold outside for a newborn, we decided we'd figure out how to make their house work for the session. We did the entire shoot inside Layla's nursery. It was a lot of fun to figure out how to be creative with the limited space. Ultimately, I think we got some really great pictures. It also helps to have three great subjects!

The Doherty Family

The Doherty Family

Going into a session with a new family, I'm never really sure how the kids will do posing for pictures. They all have their own unique personalities and temperaments. Some are great in front of the camera, some are... well, not so great (like my own kid). Usually, the first few pictures are pretty telling. For this session, as soon as I pointed the picture at these guys, Robbie cracked a huge smile, and he didn't stop smiling for the entire session. It also didn't hurt that we had a beautiful sunny 65 degree October day as well. I love the way these pics turned out. I especially love the sunset silhouette from the end of the session.

Mason's First Birthday

Mason's First Birthday

This session had it all... A one year old in a fedora, a cake smash, balloons, perfect summer weather, and a spectacular sunset. While the session went off without a hitch, there was one issue.... Mason wasn't really too sure about this whole cake thing. Perhaps he's more of a chocolate guy.
