Kamila and Mike Engagement Photos

Kamila and Mike Engagement Photos

Sometimes during a session, I can tell the clients are getting tired of taking photos (or maybe tired of my bad jokes) and want to wrap it up.  Kamila and Mike were the opposite of that.  They were super adventurous, easy-going, and up for whatever.  We shot to the last possible minute.... literally.  The staff ushered us out at closing with us begging to take one last photo with the sunset.

It’s a lot of fun to shoot sessions like this because we can take our time, get creative, and make some great photos.  I really enjoy the way these photos came out.  It was hard to pick my favorites to post on here.

A Very Wet Engagement

A Very Wet Engagement

On the morning of this session, the forecast called for a 30% chance of rain most of the afternoon.  Liron and I spoke and she decided that they wanted to get the shoot done and we could take those odds.  We figured worst case, we'd get a little bit of rain on and off.  Well, it turns out that we completely underestimated the weather.  It POURED the entire shoot.  Luckily, Liron and Shreyas had a great attitude about it.  We made the best of the circumstances and bounced around from covered spot to covered spot.  This was a pretty challenging session for me, but it was actually a lot of fun.  It forced me to step out of my box and think creatively.   In the end, I think we got some great shots out of it (mostly because Liron and Shreyas were awesome).   The umbrella shot in the rain was a nice little reward at the end.  Also, how awesome is their dog, Jemma?

Spring Sessions

Spring Sessions

I've been so busy shooting this season that I've been completely neglecting the website (sorry).  So, to catch you up... I've been all over the Philadelphia area shooting families, newborns, engagements, maternity sessions, and even a few parties.  I've met lots of great new clients, caught up with a few old ones, and even got to shoot some pictures of my beautiful niece.  Here are a few of my favorites from the spring sessions.

A Very Conshy Engagement Session

A Very Conshy Engagement Session

I've been friends with Annika for a while so I was super excited when she asked me to take engagement photos of her and Mark.  Shooting with friends is always a ton of fun because I get to relax and try some stuff I wouldn't normally try.  Plus, it helps when the couple is fun and up for whatever!  We decided on a very Conshy theme for the photos.   First stop was the Conshohocken Brewing Company which was perfect because we all got to start the session with a decent beer.  From there, we hopped around to a few scenic Conshohocken spots and had a cameo appearance from Lilly and Teddy.  We even took one pic in the middle of Fayette Street and lived to show it!

Lydia and Steve

Lydia and Steve

The first session of the season! I’ve known Steve for a while but this was the first time I got to meet his finacee Lydia. It turns out that she is super cool. I wonder what lies Steve told to woo her (kidding…. mostly). Anyway, the shoot was a lot of fun. We found some really cool spots all throughout Fairmount Park. We started at the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center, hit Belmont Plateau, and ended up on Boathouse Row. It was a nice little scenic tour of the city. Check out their pics…

Jo and Toby Engagement

Jo and Toby Engagement

This session was a ton of fun for a few reasons. First, because Jo and Toby were totally awesome. Second, because I got to tour Longwood Gardens for the first time with a PhD environmental scientist and an environmental engineer (sorry if I totally botched that). But third, and most importantly, because we got some amazing pics of Jo and Toby. There was so much great scenery at Longwood gardens. We could have shot the whole session in the entrance. I had to restrain myself since we weren't shooting for 3 days (Longwood Gardens is huge). Check the pics out for yourself.

Marissa & Claudio Engagement

Marissa & Claudio Engagement

The was my second time shooting with Marissa and Claudio, and they were just as awesome as I remembered. The first time was a family session with their adorable daughter, Gianna. This time, I had them all to myself. We explored Evansburg State Park and found some really amazing spots, including an awesome wooden bridge. Towards the end of the session, I kept telling them that we were going to make our way to the final location, but then I repeatedly got distracted by other amazing spots we came across. When we finally made it to the last spot we were greeted with a perfect golden sunset. Check out their photos...

Julie and Mark Engagement

Julie and Mark Engagement

This was one of my favorite sessions... Partially because it was a blast to explore the town I live in, Conshohocken, but mostly because Julie and Mark are awesome! They thought they were bad at this posing stuff, but it turns out they were pretty darn good. I think the pictures speak for themselves.
